About Warlock Skateboards

Wes While’s work is easy and tough to define all at once.

The easy part? It’s undeniably dope; the type of imagery that conveys a feeling straight away but begs for a closer inspection.

The tough part? Wes’ art looks like what you get when you mash an artists’ influences into a grist mill and churn them down to some sort of fine, bright, hellspawned paint that becomes fodder for his pen. There are hints of the stuff that makes for broad appeal in Wes’ work - eye-catching designs that speak to the zeitgeist - but there is also a sense that you’re looking at something from the underworld.

Wes’ designs speak to his life-long fascination with all things awesome and you can see the dash of heavy metal, the pinch of cyberpunk, the splash of the 80’s horror movie poster in every design. From the freakily psychedelic to imagery that reminds us that the danse macabre is always just a few steps away, Wes’ art is always evocative, often thought-provoking, and sometimes nightmare-inducing, in the best way possible.

Powell Peralta's legendary Bones Brigade meets H.R. Giger and Andy Warhol in Wes’ latest venture: some of the most eye-popping graphics ever burned onto a skateboard deck. Ever look for a product that offers a 100% sickness guarantee? Look no further, friend, you found it. So go ahead and ride in style before you lay some shock and awe on the rubberneckers.

When he’s not creating skateboard graphics, Wes can be found plying his craft as a VFX Compositor who has amped up the awesome on titles such as Stranger Things, The Expanse, and Jupiter's Legacy.
